An Outstanding Blend Of Sound and Stage
Such an EPIC tune. Adam and his fellow ANTS created a wonderfully unique sound that shines like a diamond in the musical rock face of what was already a rich mix of musical styles and genres that converged at the beginning of 1980 AD.
I think the big record labels planned this meticulously.
The 70 s started dazed and confused and finally lost the plot half way through the decade. The trouser and jumper fashion combinations should never be discussed in front of future generations. NOT EVEN IN JEST.
These are the only flares we can legally show

The Music Moguls wanted 1980 to come in with a bang and keep on banging until the 70´s were no longer associated with sideburns sprawling over wide lapels. So the plan worked BUT even the key architects were shocked at the sheer depth and breadth of the music produced. All very different styles and characters, but each one was embraced by the public. Adam and the Ants are still a beautiful potion of sounds that would maybe stand out as a niche at any other time. But if you look at the top 10 UK singles of 1982, you will find a wonderful variety of unique compositions. The Eye of the Tiger sits next to Boy George and my favorite “Pass The Dutchie” Did those young lads ever get paid….?
Sometimes I just let my words roam wild and free…
